In case you aren't familiar with the Fiery Furnaces, they are an indie rock band based out of New York and consist of mainly the brother/sister team of Matt (on keys) and Eleanor Friedberger (lead vocalist). They've had a handful of releases since 2000 and just released their latest album Widow City, in October. Most of the stuff they played last night was from that album. It was a great show, with great opening acts as well (check out another New York indie band MGMT). Definitely one of the best I've seen this year.Many thanks to Spencer for getting us on the guest list.
